Meet Dr. Rick

Dr. Rick J. Arrowood is an esteemed leader with an extensive track record of over three decades in global leadership and nonprofit organizations. His multifaceted career spans academia, organizational leadership, and consulting. Currently serving as a faculty member at Northeastern University (Boston, MA, USA) and Boston College (Chestnut Hill, MA, USA), Dr. Arrowood specializes in Management, Organizational Development, and Leadership.

With a global perspective, Dr. Arrowood has shared his expertise in global leadership across four continents. He holds Visiting Professor appointments at prestigious institutions, including the University of Central Punjab (Lahore, Pakistan), Vietnam National International University (Ho Chi Minh City, VN), and Swinburne University (Melbourne, Victoria, Australia).

Dr. Arrowood's impact extends beyond the academic realm. Over a span of more than 20 years, he dedicated his leadership skills to various nonprofit organizations. Notably, Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick acknowledged Dr. Arrowood's significant contributions to individuals living with the neurological disorder amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig's disease. Recognized for envisioning and leading a grassroots effort, he played a pivotal role in establishing a groundbreaking statewide registry for individuals with ALS. This pioneering registry, overseen by the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, Bureau of Environmental Division, serves as a model replicated nationwide.

In addition to his academic and nonprofit contributions, Dr. Arrowood founded The Leader Brew Podcast (www.theleaderbrew.com). This platform provides his former students with an opportunity to share their leadership journeys from the classroom to the real world.

Dr. Rick J. Arrowood holds a Doctorate of Law and Policy from Northeastern University, a Juris Doctor from the Massachusetts School of Law (Andover, MA, USA), and a Bachelor's in Human Resource Management from Palm Beach Atlantic University (West Palm Beach, FL, USA). His diverse academic background reflects his commitment to continuous learning and multidisciplinary expertise.
